Flat Pack Camping BBQ/Fire Pit

Take the BBQ with you wherever you go, with our new compact fire pit design! Made from just 5 parts, it assembles in seconds, and stores away easily with the simple bolt together design for easy transportation. Use open as a fire pit, or get cooking with the included BBQ grate.

Features include a secure slot together design, integrated skewer notches, and a full size drop on cooking grate. After use just stack the 5 parts onto the welded in bolts, and secure instantly with wingnuts (included) to transport using the integrated carry handle. The fire pit can also be easily moved using the handles when assembled.

The firepit is made from solid 3mm mild steel, and the frame parts will gain a surface layer of rust when exposed to the elements, which will not affect the structure of the product. The cooking grate should be seasoned before use to avoid rust, please see below for seasoning instructions.

Due to the nature and compact size of the firepit, it is likely to scorch the ground and grass underneath. For this reason, it is It is recommended that the firepit is placed on a fireproof or sacrificial surface such as a large log or paving slab to prevent unwanted damage.

The cooking grate is made from carbon steel, which needs to be seasoned before cooking on to make it non-stick and to prevent corrosion. Heat over a fire or in the oven set to maximum temperature and apply a light vegetable oil (not olive) to the surface and allow to smoke off. After this is done a few times, the surface will be seasoned to a black colour, much the same as you would do with cast iron cookware.

We recommend keeping cooking grates undercover when not in use to avoid rust.
