Metals, grades & thicknesses.

We hold a wide range of materials in stock so we can cater for jobs of every shape and size — and we'll cut, fold, weld and finish from your own supplied material too. Below are the metals we work in most, with the grades and thicknesses we keep on the shelf.

What we work in

From stock or your own material — other grades and thicknesses available on request.

Mild steel

CR4 cold-rolled · HR / S275 hot-rolled

Our workhorse material — strong, weldable and easy to powder coat. Cut up to 20mm, with thinner CR4 sheet for brackets, panels and homeware, and heavier plate for structural parts.

Stainless steel

304 general purpose · 316 marine / food grade

Corrosion-resistant and clean-finishing for kitchens, exterior and food or marine use. Cut up to 20mm, with surface graining or a brushed finish available.

Aluminium

1050 · 5251 · 5083 · other grades to order

Light, weldable and naturally corrosion-resistant — ideal for enclosures, panels and weight-critical parts. Cut up to 15mm, ready for folding, welding or powder coating.

Brass

CZ108 sheet

A decorative, hard-wearing metal with a warm finish for signage, fittings and homeware. Cut up to 10mm on the fibre laser for clean, polish-ready edges.

From stock or your own material

We keep a wide range of sheet and plate on the shelf so most jobs start straight away. We're also experienced at sourcing specialist materials and grades, and we're happy to cut, fold, weld or finish from material you supply if you'd prefer.

Maximum sheet size: 2995 × 1495mm. No minimum order — one part or many. All work is subject to acceptance and to sufficient material being in stock.

Finishes

Once parts are cut and fabricated we can finish them in-house: in-house powder coating across a wide colour range for mild steel and aluminium, plus surface graining or brushing for stainless. Deburring and passivation are available so parts arrive ready to fit or ship.
