Why we write these
Most metal homeware online tells you a colour and a size and nothing else. But the difference between a piece you love for years and one that rusts, bends or falls off the wall usually comes down to a handful of details — the steel thickness, the finish, and whether it was actually designed to be fixed where you're putting it.
We design, laser-cut, weld and powder-coat everything ourselves at our Andover workshop, so we know exactly what those details mean in practice. These guides put that on the table before you spend a penny. Pair them with our materials guide for the metals we work in and our care guide for keeping each finish looking right.
Got a question a guide doesn't answer? Ask us — a real person in the workshop will reply.
