The people behind the parts
Our story
Jack and Lydia Swanborough started Hurstbourne Forge after struggling to get an unusual family Christmas gift made: an oversized duck-themed trivet. More ideas for wedding, birthday and housewarming presents followed, and a small garden workshop became a family business.
Jack's brother and father joined him in the workshop, with his mother helping in the office. In September 2020, the Forge moved to a larger workshop in Andover, making room for more products, projects and capabilities.
Since then, we have grown rapidly into three buildings and a highly skilled team of over 20 staff, with significant investment in the latest metalworking technologies and equipment. Our focus is now on providing the best possible sheet metal and fabrication services to a very wide range of customers, providing complex and high-quality parts, with a rapid turnaround and great service. Today, our original practical, personal approach sits alongside investment in a skilled team, modern machinery and our own bespoke software. From individual gifts to commercial sheet-metal production, we bring the same attention to detail and care to all of the things we make.
